Olympus LS-11

96 kHz/24-bit Linear PCM Recording
Olympus Linear PCM Recorder LS-11 is compatible with extra-high quality linear PCM recording with a quantization bit rate of upto 24 bits and sampling frequency of up to 96 kHz - far exceeding standard CD quality of 44.1 kHz/16-bit.

You can easily convert your recordings to CDs with the same quantization and sampling rate.

Stereo Microphones & Amp Circuitry
The built-in stereo microphones employ carving-processed aluminum with higher vibration absorbing characteristics.
The microphone amplifier uses discrete left and right-channel amp circuits to suppress interference, making high-quality "original sound" recording possible.

Manual Recording Level Adjustment
Olympus Linear PCM Recorder LS-11 allow you to fine-adjust the recording level manually to obtain the optimum level by checking the level meter display on the LCD panel and the PEAK indicator.
An automatic level control function is also provided.

High-Quality Microphone Amplifier Circuitry
For the purest sound reproduction, the sound signal picked up by the microphones must be transmitted and amplified as accurately as possible without any signal deterioration.

To achieve this, the circuit boards have been carefully designed according to the latest innovations in sound-conscious design. The microphone amp employs discrete chips for the left and right channels to prevent interference with the signal between channels, assuring the clearest possible signal transmission with improved signal-to-noise ratio.
With Olympus Linear PCM Recorder LS-11, the frequency response has been extended to lower frequencies, delivering richer and more powerful bass and mid-tones.

"Great tool for sound design beginners. All what you need to start make sound for your CD/DVD, memo or sound design. Easy to use and good stereo mics.
Included package with case and accessories is helpful.
I have used for live music, sound effects and adhoc guitar riff recorder when I am lazy to start PC.
I am suggesting to buy small tripod.
For me is so sensitive for handling noise."

"Very good field recorder. I'm really happy with my Olympus LS-11; it suites my purpose perfectly i.e. recording small and large vocal groups, band-rehearsals and acoustic guitars. In my view the strength of the LS-11 is:
- Excellent mics
- Excellent battery life
- Handy types of files (MP3 and WAV)
- Very informative display
- Size and shape (fits pockets and hands well)
- Mic screens in the box
On the weakness side:
- "enter" button needs a careful push (or you end up with an up/down selection)
- Display information is sometimes hard to read due to small letters
I also bought the silicon protective holster and the remote control...both are a must-have in my view."
